In the course of their daily lives, teachers routinely meet young people who denigrate others as well as those who experience such discrimination. In this regard, not all youth work professionals are sufficiently sensitized to racism and antisemitism.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The Amadeu Antonio Foundation fills this gap, supporting educators in becoming active against racism, antisemitism and other forms of group-based enmity among young people. In addition to developing recommendations and concepts for youth work, we offer workshops, lectures, trainings and supervisory services. The goals are to establish the principle of equality as a starting point within youth work, to create protected spaces for self-determined action for youth of color and Jewish youth, and create networks that connect actors in the field.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Human rights and particularly childrens&rsquo; rights are an integral part of our work, informing all of our projects.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\t\n\t\n\t\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-slot-has-no-box grid-slot-last grid-slot grid-slot-1d3 lg:w-1\/3 w-full my-4 lg:my-0 px-2 md:px-4 w-full\">\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"grid-container grid-container-c-2d3-1d3 grid-container-has-multiple-slots my-5 lg:my-11\">\n\n\t<div class=\"max-w-6xl px-2 md:px-4 mx-auto\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-container-before px-2 md:px-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"mb-4 md:mb-11 mt-16 md:mt-26\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"inline-block text-xl lg:text-2xl border-t-3 leading-none pt-2 md:border-t-5 border-primary text-primary\">\n\t\t\tRaising Awareness\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-slots-wrapper w-full md:flex justify-between\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-slot-has-one-box grid-slot-first grid-slot grid-slot-2d3 lg:w-2\/3 w-full my-4 lg:my-0 px-2 md:px-4 w-full\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-box-first grid-box-last grid-box-wp_html grid-box\">\n\t\n\t\n\t    <div class=\"grid-box-content text-grey\">\n\t\t<p>It is crucial to draw public attention to local initiatives that are actively engaged in confronting right-wing movements and their ideology, especially when those initiatives lack support in their regions. An article in a national newspaper can make all the difference in gaining support from local politicians and other key players. The Amadeu Antonio Foundation has been able to dramatically improve conditions for initiatives seeking local mayoral support - at times simply by calling racism by its name.<\/p>\n\n<p>Campaigns against hate and disregard for human rights continue to raise awareness for these important topics.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\t\n\t\n\t\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-slot-has-no-box grid-slot-last grid-slot grid-slot-1d3 lg:w-1\/3 w-full my-4 lg:my-0 px-2 md:px-4 w-full\">\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"grid-container grid-container-c-2d3-1d3 grid-container-has-multiple-slots my-5 lg:my-11\">\n\n\t<div class=\"max-w-6xl px-2 md:px-4 mx-auto\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-container-before px-2 md:px-4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"mb-4 md:mb-11 mt-16 md:mt-26\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"inline-block text-xl lg:text-2xl border-t-3 leading-none pt-2 md:border-t-5 border-primary text-primary\">\n\t\t\tNo Place for Neo-Nazis\t\t<\/span>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-slots-wrapper w-full md:flex justify-between\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-slot-has-one-box grid-slot-first grid-slot grid-slot-2d3 lg:w-2\/3 w-full my-4 lg:my-0 px-2 md:px-4 w-full\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"grid-box-first grid-box-last grid-box-wp_html grid-box\">\n\t\n\t\n\t    <div class=\"grid-box-content text-grey\">\n\t\t<p>&#39;No Place for Neo-Nazis&#39; (<em>Kein Ort f&uuml;r Neonazis<\/em>) for example distributes placards, posters and stickers with which people can flyer their hometowns, stores and other public places, symbolizing the area&rsquo;s resistance to right-wing extremism.<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Public events supported by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation inform local communities about right-wing movements and their racist ideology. It became an important platform for the Amadeu Antonio Foundation and its partners.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe campaign&rsquo;s goal is to raise awareness for right-wing violence and money in support of projects against the extreme right. Stern highlighted the issue, publishing numerous articles about the dangers of right-wing extremism in Germany and successful ways to counter it.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nWith the support of German rock star Udo Lindenberg, more than &euro;1.6 million were donated to the campaign benefitting more than 140 initiatives as of November 2011.<br \/>\nTogether with Stern and software company SAP we launched the online media portal &#39;Stand Up Against Right-wing Violence&#39; (Mut-gegen-rechte-Gewalt.de) in April 2003 to drive publicity for the joint campaign.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\t\n\t\n\t\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2021,"featured_media":30803,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[],"class_list":["post-41187","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"content_relations":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
