The situation in Germany is quite good.<\/p>\n<p><em>Moment: Moving on to the election, how has the European refugee crisis changed Germany and German politics?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kahane: It gave rise to the Alternative for Germany (AfD) and other right-wing groups, paradoxically making things clearer. Before 2015, the discussion about racism and anti-Semitism in Germany was not very well developed, but now we can see exactly where the hate is coming from. With people voting for the AfD (and on the left we have the BDS movement), the main parties can see the problem and can no longer ignore it.
