With the project "Building Time" the association "Each One Teach One" wants to create spaces for black young people and young adults, who are free of marginalization and invite to exchange. It is about ways out of homelessness, the placement of a job or a study place, authorities and much more. Workshops in the Kiezhaus offered the young people not only a leisure program but also the opportunity to get to know each other and to grow together as a group. Another place where black people can network, share experiences of discrimination and empower each other is the annual # Young # Gifted # Black weekend, which supports "Each One Teach One" as a cooperation partner.
"Dikhen amen! See us! "Is for the young Sinti and Roma a space for empowerment and participation - and a place of visibility, where the diverse realities of life of young Roma and Sinti self-determined against the social racism and stereotypes. More than 130 young Roma and Sinti from Germany, Macedonia, Serbia, and Montenegro came as part of the project "Dikhen amen! See us! "In order to get to know and exchange ideas, to participate in workshops and to start common actions on issues such as empowerment of women, finding identity as Rom*nja, Roma history, asylum and refugee policy and the right to fight and the history of Porrajmos Genocide of the Sinti and Roma during the National Socialist era In the artistic workshops, dance and theatre performances, videos and songs were developed.
Local actors throughout Saxony are working to improve the living conditions of refugees. Networking and empowerment are essential in times of right-wing populist agitation against. As in previous years, the Saxon Refugee Council organized a conference for asylum initiatives in 2018 to strengthen and network volunteers and refugees throughout the federal state.
