Right-wing violence online
Digital spaces are becoming increasingly important for social exchange, especially in the pandemic - for those affected by inhuman attitudes, digital spaces are also associated with insults, hostility and threats. Ideologies such as racism, anti-Semitism or anti-feminism are expressed particularly frequently online due to the supposed anonymity. Those affected feel the consequences and their freedom of movement is also restricted in digital spaces.
ReachOut has been looking after the victims of racist violence in Berlin and their environment for over 15 years: reachoutberlin.de.
All manner of right-wing extremist and discriminatory incidents can be reported to the Berlin Register with a view to contributing to comprehensive documentation for the various Berlin districts: berliner-register.de.
HateAid is the only organisation in Germany that exclusively supports victims of digital violence: hateaid.org.
