Holocaust Denier Released

One sentence served out, another sentence reduced. Five years since being charged by the German courts with 14 counts of inciting racial hatred, convicted Holocaust denier Ernst Zündel was released early March from Mannheim Prison. In Vienna, fellow Neonazi publisher Gerd Honsik, famous for works such as “Acquittal for Hitler?” saw his five-year sentence reduced to four.

A Shift in Perspective: The May-Ayim-Ufer

Until her death in 1996, May Ayim was a leading figure in the fight against colonialism and racism in Germany. 14 years later, February 27 saw her being honored through a memorial name-changing ceremony for the formerly called Gröbenufer.
